Newly Diagnosed Clients
What does ABA therapy look like?
ABA therapy utilizes a wide range of evidence-based teaching strategies that are individualized to each client's unique strengths, learning styles, and needs. Services are typically provided in a 1:1 setting with a trained and certified staff member to ensure individualized support and focused skill development. Professionals in the field work to provide personalized treatment while also ensuring that families receive ongoing guidance, support, and collaboration throughout the therapeutic process.
What is the cost of services?
The cost of services varies based on your insurance coverage, and our team works closely with families to provide clear and predictable financial information before services begin. For clients with a qualifying medical diagnosis using insurance benefits, we verify coverage and provide an estimate of potential costs based on plan details, including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums.
Actual out-of-pocket costs are determined by your individual insurance plan, and we are committed to helping families understand their benefits and financial responsibilities throughout the process.
For clients without insurance coverage or without a qualifying medical diagnosis, services may be available through our private pay option at established hourly rates. Additional information regarding private pay services and fee schedules is available upon request.
At Latitude Therapy, we strive to make the process as transparent and supportive as possible so families can move forward with confidence.
What is a BCBA?
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) are master's-level healthcare professionals specializing in behavior analysis. At Latitude Therapy, our BCBAs conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), analyze client progress, and provide ongoing parent and caregiver training to support meaningful and lasting outcomes.
Can my child attend another provider while receiving services from you? Can I use only one of my insurances?
Every insurance company, including Medicaid, allows one ABA provider at a time. If there is an active authorization with another provider, that needs to be closed so we can request the authorization. For the most accurate information for processing and to avoid coverage issues, we need to have all insurances on file.
What is an RBT?
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) work directly with clients to support the development of communication, social, behavioral, and independent living skills. At Latitude Therapy, our RBTs implement individualized treatment plans designed by clinical supervisors, collect and monitor client progress data, and provide support during play, daily routines, and structured learning activities. Through ongoing collaboration with supervisors and families, our RBTs help create meaningful progress and positive outcomes for every child.
In-Home Clients
Do I need to be present during services?
A caretaker must be present in the house, but you do not have to be present in the therapy room or session.
Can I leave during services?
A caretaker is required to be in the house at all times when a member of our staff is present.
Is there a minimum hour requirement?
6-8 hours if possible, as this helps our scheduling team with assigning staff.
Clinic-Based Clients
Do I stay with my child during the services?
No, caregivers drop off and pick up their children at designated times.
Do you have cameras?
Yes, we do.
Can my child attend only as needed? (e.g., only for summer break)
This creates issues with assigning and maintaing staff, so we avoid working outside of our regular hours or setting. Our Summer Camp is ideal for clients who need support during the summer break.
Do you provide transportation?
We do not.
Can my child attend only once a week?
We encourage our clients to attend all 5 days a week, Monday to Friday Full Time or Half Time. We are able to work around clients' OT and Speech Therapy schedules if they need to miss a day, half-day, or two days a week. This will need to be discussed with our clinic team.
Will I get daily updates on how my child does?
Our RBTs will update caregivers as needed at the pick up time. This will occur at least a couple of times a week if not every day.
Billing & Insurance
Why do you need my credit card authorization?
A credit card authorization must be kept on file to cover any client responsibility amounts not paid by insurance, such as copays, coinsurance, or deductible balances. It allows us to process payments efficiently and ensures uninterrupted services without billing delays. You will always receive an explanation of any charge before it is processed.
What kind of documents do I need to submit?
-A copy of your insurance card (front and back), if using insurance
-The primary insured's date of birth and contact information
-A diagnosis report confirming Autism Spectrum Disorder (if available or required by your insurance)
-Any relevant referral or prescription for services, if your insurance plan requires it
How does billing work?
If you are using insurance, we first verify your benefits and estimate your expected cost based on your plan. After services are provided, we bill your insurance directly. Once insurance processes the claim, any remaining client responsibility (if applicable) is billed to your on-file payment method. If you are private pay, services are billed according to our Private Pay Fee Schedule on a regular billing cycle.
What will my charges look like?
Your charges will depend on your insurance benefits or private pay rate. For insurance-based clients, charges typically reflect your plan's deductible, copay, or coinsurance amounts. We provide estimates up front so you know what to expect before services begin.
